We are less than two weeks live on Sky Sports Box Office, and there is a yummy card constructing.
We now know who’ll challenge for the Universal name and the women’s name, three more titles fell in the race to become King of the Ring, and now there were moments on both Raw and SmackDown this week that could have enormous consequences come September 15.
Superior Week
Bayley
Most fans would have marked the champion of the SmackDown women as the underdog going into her title defence against Charlotte. Maybe not anymore.
Bayley spectacularly turned in the end of Raw to Becky Lynch, rekindling her friendship with all Sasha inventories in manner. And’The Boss’ returned the favour by assaulting Charlotte on SmackDown.
With inventories in her corner, the likelihood of The Hugger keeping the belt have changed in her favour.
Chad Gable
Gable has returned to SmackDown in style, beating Andrade and Shelton Benjamin to reach the finals of the King of the Ring tournament.
It’s a for somebody who spent a lengthy spell buried in the SmackDown roster.
Conquer Elias following week and Gable is heading to Clash of Champions.
NXT UK
Every single title on the card in NXT Takeover: Cardiff should be searched to get a wonderful event .
Fans in the Motorpoint Arena in the Welsh funds were treated to some epic battles as hands, Tyler Bate came within a whisker of toppling NXT UK winner WALTER and Cesaro made a guest appearance.
Given the array of talent on the roster, it is not surprising that the prevalence of NXT UK is growing at a pace that is rapid. Pete Dunne has spearheaded the rise but despite his lack at Takeover, the series was one to savour.
It may only serve to reinforce the case for the UK to point a major occasion.
Braun Strowman
Once it was confirmed he’ll confront his co-tag team champion Seth Rollins to the WWE Universal title at Clash of Champions the Dragon could turn into a winner.
Strowman has had opportunities to shoot the red strap falling short to the likes of Brock Lesnar along with Roman Reigns.
Could this the moment he?
Bad Week
Daniel Bryan
Only a couple of months before, Bryan was WWE Champion with the menacing Erick Rowan seeing his spine. Holding the belt, so he felt Rowan this week, that turned to his ally at the end of SmackDown’s wrath.
An extremely lone figure is cutting out off on the brand that is blue, Without a competitor in Clash of Champions and now flying solo.
The big question is simply: What’s next?
Ali
Ali suffered what some would believe a sudden defeat in this SmackDown bracket’s semi-finals to Elias past week after overcoming Buddy Murphy in a King of the Ring.
It is a setback for a celebrity who was beginning to make big strides. This is a temporary blip for your high-flyer.
Becky Lynch
‘The Man’ has been flying high from the WWE in recent months however, the deception of Bayley could cause a concern for the Irish Lasskicker heading at Clash of Champions.
Becky needs to keep should the winner of the SmackDown women decide to make her presence known, although one on one, Banks is currently stiff competition.
