But because of an alleged visa issue for Meek which influenced his traveling schedule, the pairing was postponed and then rescheduled for this particular event. A welterweight bout between Abdul Razak Alhassan and Sabah Homasi was originally scheduled for UFC 219, but later altered for this occasion. When Alhassan won via a TKO that was contentious the pairing met earlier at UFC 218. [7][8]
Charles Rosa was expected to face promotional newcomer Dan Ige. But on December 22, Rosa pulled out injury. [9] Ige remained on the card and confronted fellow newcomer Julio Arce. [10]

Jamie Moyle was anticipated to face Maryna Moroz at the occasion. But, Moyle pulled out of the struggle through the week leading up to the event citing an undisclosed injury. [13] In turn, promotion officials suggested that Moroz will be rescheduled for a future event.
