Millwall rival Sunderland for in-demand Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth


Millwall Have Been rivalling Sunderland for the Professional Services of Wycombe Director Gareth Ainsworth, Sky Sports News understands.

The London club are managerless after Neil Harris stop and want to talk to Ainsworth.
Wycombe have given permission to talk to other clubs, determined not to stay in his way should he wish to move on.
Sunderland approached Wycombe, and four different clubs, for consent to speak to their managers before this week, after sacking Jack Ross.
Championship sides exploring and Barnsley are also without supervisors after ignoring Jose Gomes and Daniel Stendel this week.
It is understood Ainsworth can also be by Reading under consideration, but he is unlikely to be hunted by Barnsley following both Ainsworth and Wycombe rejected their interest.
Sky Sports News reported that free agent Gary Rowett can also be understood to be about Millwalls list, together with participant Tim Cahill, but Rowett isnt interested in talking to League One Sunderland.
The latter team rejected their strategy and Robins signed a new contract on Friday, although sunderland also contacted Wigan to talk to Coventry and Paul Cook to speak to Mark Robins.
