Following the Video Assistant Referee program failed, the lowest side Leganes of la Liga have appealed for their game from Levante to be sought.
Leganes believe they surrendered a penalty for a foul from Dimitris Siovas.
However, the communicating gear of referee Munuera Montero failed, forcing the official to pass on the VAR decision via cellular phone.
Levante went on to win the game 2-1.
Leganes president Victoria Pavon said the club will request the match be replayed from the 44th minute, when the incident took place.
Very serious things have occurred in this game – such as calling a punishment against us which was a foul away from the area, explained Pavon.
It also occurred in the match against Valencia a few weeks before, but in addition to this the VAR system was not working properly so we believe we have not been able to compete in equal conditions.
